The short version: Grandma's Toolbox keeps what you type and save on your device. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere. The app requests no internet access at all. No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
Grandma's Toolbox does not require an account and does not collect, transmit, or have access to your timers, recipes, conversions or formulas. Everything is stored in the app's private storage on your device. We (the developer) never see this data, because the app has no network permission and cannot send it anywhere.
You can clear any screen's text with its Clear button, delete saved custom timers one by one, or remove everything by clearing the app's storage in Android's settings or uninstalling the app.
If you have Android's backup turned on, Android may copy the app's saved data to your Google account and restore it on a new phone. That is done by Android under your own device and Google account settings, not by Grandma's Toolbox, and is covered by Google's privacy policy. You can switch it off in your phone's system settings.
The Tell a friend menu item and the recipe scaler's Copy and Share as checklist buttons open Android's share sheet or copy to the clipboard. You choose where the text goes; Grandma's Toolbox never sends anything on its own. The Tell a friend message is fixed text with a link to this website.
Grandma's Toolbox is free. The optional Pro, and the optional tips under Support the developer, are one-time purchases made through Google Play, which handles the payment and your payment details under its own privacy policy; the app never sees them. After you buy Pro, Google Play tells the app that Pro is owned, and the app keeps that fact on your device so Pro keeps working offline. A tip unlocks nothing. We receive no information about your purchases.
Grandma's Toolbox does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos or location, has no internet permission, and contains no advertising or analytics software. Links on the About screen open in your browser; the app does not connect to those sites itself.
Grandma's Toolbox is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age — the app simply does not collect data in the first place.
