Effective date: October 14, 2026
The short version: NoteMagic and the Checklist Library are provided free of charge or at the price shown on Google Play, as is, without any warranty. The checklists are general suggestions, not professional advice. Keep your own backups of anything important, and use the app and the checklists at your own risk.
These terms apply to the NoteMagic app for Android, to this NoteMagic web site, and to the Checklist Library (together, “NoteMagic”), all provided by KATR Software (“we”, “us”). By installing or using NoteMagic you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. How NoteMagic handles your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
You may use NoteMagic for your own personal or business notes on your own devices. Please don't copy, resell or redistribute the app, try to break its protections, or use it for anything unlawful. Google Play's own terms also apply to your purchase and installation of the app.
Your notes are stored on your device, and we never see them. That also means we can't recover them for you. You are responsible for backing up anything you can't afford to lose, for example with the app's backup feature. A lost device, a cleared app, a forgotten password or a failed update can make notes unrecoverable.
Encrypted notes: if you encrypt a note and forget its password, nobody, including us, can open it. This is by design.
The checklists in the library, and the sample content in the app, are general suggestions written to save you time. They are provided as is. They may be incomplete, out of date or not suited to your situation, and they are not professional, medical, legal, financial, tax, safety or religious advice. Examples include the RV, car, baby, wedding, money, emergency, publishing and reference lists. Check them against your own circumstances, local laws and rules, and the instructions for your equipment and products, and ask a qualified professional where it matters. Once a checklist is in your note it is yours to change as you like.
Reference lists such as books of the Bible, names of God, state capitals and alphabets are summaries, and may differ from other traditions, translations or sources.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NoteMagic is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that NoteMagic will always work, be error free, be available, or keep your data safe on your device.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, injury or loss that results from using NoteMagic or relying on a checklist. If we are found liable despite this, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the app. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have by law.
When you use Share to NoteMagic or share a note out of the app, you choose what is sent and where. You are responsible for what you share and for having the right to share it. The Checklist Library page does not receive anything from your notes.
NoteMagic and this site link to Google Play and other web sites, and use your device's voice and sharing services. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or their terms.
The NoteMagic name, icon, app and web site belong to KATR Software. The library checklists may be used freely in your own notes and shared with others. Please don't republish the library as a whole.
We may update the app, the library and these terms. When the terms change, this page gets a new effective date. Continuing to use NoteMagic after a change means you accept the new terms.
Questions about these terms can be sent to apps@katr.com.
