Where is my data stored?
On your device only. Breath Forge has no account, no internet permission, and nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
The pacer stopped when my screen turned off.
In this version the pacer needs the screen on. Leave Keep screen on switched on in Settings. Haptic and sound cues keep working, so you can lower the screen brightness and close your eyes.
I can't feel the haptic cues.
Check that Haptic cues is on in Settings and that your phone's touch vibration is not turned off in Android's sound settings.
I can't hear the sound cues.
The cues play on the media volume. Turn the media volume up, and check that Sound cues is on in Settings.
Why wasn't my hold saved?
Holds shorter than one second are ignored. Leaving the screen while a hold is running also discards it, because an unfinished hold is not a result.
Can I delete one hold or session?
You can delete a hold from the list on the breath-hold screen during the same visit, or at any time from History → Holds (tap the cross beside it). To remove everything, choose Clear all history from the menu in History.
Can I move my history to a new phone?
Breath Forge's data is included in Android's own device backup, when you have that turned on, and is restored when you set up a new phone from your Google account. There is no separate export in this version.
The daily reminder didn't appear.
Check that notifications are allowed for Breath Forge in your phone's settings. Reminders are set on your phone and can arrive a few minutes late, and battery-saving settings on some phones can delay them. If you restarted your phone, open Breath Forge once so the reminder is set again.
How do I move my history to a new phone?
With Pro, open Settings and choose Save a backup, then copy the file to the new phone and choose Restore from a backup there. Restoring replaces what is on the phone, so you are asked to confirm.
What are the guided programs?
The CO2 and O2 tables (Pro) are sets of holds with timed rests. Every hold is set below your own reference hold. Read the safety notes before you start, and never use them in or near water. See the Guide.
What does Pro include, and how do I get it back on a new phone?
See Free vs Pro. Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play. On a new phone, sign in to Google Play with the same account and install Breath Forge; Pro switches on by itself when the app starts. If it does not, open the menu, choose Go Pro and tap Restore purchase. Your own data is never held back, with or without Pro.
Is Breath Forge medical advice?
No. It is a timer and a log. See the Terms of Use and the safety notes in the How-To Guide.
